On Thursday I found myself in a bar called ‘Planet Follywood’ (Yes, that’s an F not an H as there’s a place near Charleston called Folly Beach), to watch some Hermit Crab racing. You pick a colourfully painted hermit crab which then start in the middle of a circular table, and the the winner is the one which crawls to the edge and falls off first. I kid you not.
Ladies, have you heard of The Cinderella Project? It’s a chance to donate your old formal dresses to a good cause.
And while in no way do I make a habit of watching CMT (Country Music Television), I have managed to come upon a new show on CMT that is yet another televised train-wreck that I can’t seem to stop watching. Every Friday night for the past few weeks, I’ve been guilty of watching “My Big Redneck Wedding”. Please, stop laughing.

Hi Heather, thanks for the mention, it was really fun to watch the Palmetto Swamp Fox competitors leave excited and clean and return dirty and bruised but smiling from ear to ear, I just wish I could have watched the fun part in the middle too
I have a long dress that I can donate but there is no way I can get downtown this week.
I am so happy someone came up with this project. I remember my Prom way back before the meteor hit, I didn’t think I was going to get a gown. But at the last minute, I got enough cash scraped together from my side jobs to go to Sears and buy a gown.
I am glad some Lowcountry girls won’t have that worry. After all, a girl’s prom is her first special dance…or at least it was when it was when dinosaurs were discoing.
