Oklahoma House Rep. Sally Kern
Bloggers are reacting to recent statements by Sally Kern.
At first I wondered why this woman wasn’t being run out of office, but then I remembered that I live in a state that elected Jim DeMint (R-SC) after his statement that “openly gay individuals and single mothers should not teach in public,” among other things.
Xark:
What’s next? The Commissioners of Public Works? Will these homosexuals stop at nothing?
So you can guess that Mrs. Kern doesn’t suffer from rationality or reality much. Apparently she doesn’t understand what consequences to actions mean either. After her little tirade above she is shocked at the backlash she’s received claiming that it is her right as an American to free speech and she shouldn’t be criticized for stating her opinion. I’m sure it’s more of her built in persecution complex as part of the most discriminated minority in the United Sta… wait no she’s not.

WITH ALL DUE RESPECT, YOU ARE AN IDIOT.
Just for clarity’s sake, the Heather posting above is another commenter. It’s one of the pitfalls of having a common name.
Rep. Kern is a good example of the type of legislator we elect here in Oklahoma. Especially since the Republican majority in the House where she works. My first thought when I heard her comments were ” and we wonder why no corporation wants to come to Oklahoma” This type of Neanderthal thinking is represented by 70 percent of the House of Representatives. Republicans and Democrats both, I’m afraid. Oklahoma has always projected an image of being a “Grapes of Wrath” state. Unfortunately Rep. Kern enhances that image almost beyond belief.
By the way hate crime legislation was introduced in the House by a Democrat, but will not pass because the House is led by Republicans.
Only when every elected Republican in the United States is defeated will we progress in this country.
Please don’t ignore this dangerous, evil woman. She is mentally disturbed over her son’s homosexuality and is using her btterness to evoke violence and ignorance in the world. Stop the hatred, and take her out of office and out of public view. She is a leper!
